Armite LP-250 Hi-Temp Anti-Seize Compound

LP-250 is a sealing compound that prevents seizing or galling at temperatures ranging from -350°F to 2987°F (-212°C to 1641°C). This compound consists of pure lead powder suspended in a non-volatile hydrocarbon vehicle and does not dry out, even when exposed to the atmosphere. Because lead is one of the least reactive of the metallic elements, the compound is highly non-contaminative and is impervious to the effects of salt, water, steam, oils, ammonia and hydrocarbons. LP-250 is only prohibited from use with pure oxygen and Freon gases.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum temperature range for Armite LP-250?

Armite LP-250 is one of the most powerful anti-seize compounds on the market, offering a functional service range from -65°F to 2500°F (-54°C to 1371°C). It is specifically engineered to remain stable and prevent seizing in the most extreme heat zones, such as jet engines, industrial kilns, and exhaust manifolds.

Yes, LP-250 is formulated to meet the ultra-pure requirements of the nuclear and naval industries. It contains no lead, no copper, and no halogens (like chlorine or fluorine), which prevents the stress corrosion cracking often caused by these elements in high-performance alloys and nuclear-grade stainless steels.

Unlike thin greases, LP-250 has a unique lead-free metallic "pulp" that creates a thick, resilient barrier. This allows it to act as a sealant and a lubricant, effectively filling microscopic gaps in threads to prevent the ingress of corrosive gases and liquids while still ensuring easy disassembly.

Absolutely. It provides exceptional resistance to water, salt spray, jet fuel, and most acids and alkalis. This makes it the premier choice for offshore oil rigs, chemical processing plants, and marine vessels where components are constantly exposed to high-pressure steam and salt-rich air.
