Frequently Asked Questions

What is Turbonycoil 640 and what are its primary applications?

Turbonycoil 640 is a 5-centistoke synthetic turbine oil formulated for aircraft gas turbine engines. It is specifically designed for high-performance military and civil engines that require superior thermal stability and resistance to oxidation in high-temperature environments.

Turbonycoil 640 meets the MIL-PRF-23699 Class STD (Standard) specification. It is also qualified under the NATO code O-156 and complies with the British standard DEF STAN 91-101, ensuring it meets rigorous global aviation requirements.

The primary benefits include low volatility at high temperatures, excellent load-carrying capacity, and a high flash point. These properties prevent carbon deposit buildup (coking) and ensure consistent lubrication of engine bearings and gears under extreme stress.

Yes, Turbonycoil 640 is fully miscible and compatible with other turbine oils meeting the MIL-PRF-23699 standard. However, to maintain the optimum performance benefits of the Nyco formulation, it is recommended to minimize mixing with different brands during full oil changes.
