This product may be applied as an airframe general purpose grease, such as for doors, flaps or landing gear. It is also effective for shock-loading bearings and rollers, and for parts in sliding motion. Its standard operating temperature range is from -73°C to 121°C.
It is based on a synthetic diester oil and has been thickened with a lithium soap. It also contains 5% of molybdenum disulphide as solid lubricant.

Nyco Grease GN 17 is a synthetic grease thickened with lithium soap and reinforced with 5% Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2). It is specifically designed for highly loaded sliding surfaces, airframe pins and bushings, landing gear mechanisms, and actuator screw jacks where heavy friction occurs.
Nyco Grease GN 17 is fully qualified to the MIL-G-21164D specification. It also corresponds to the NATO code G-353 and the French specification DCSEA 353/A, making it a standard choice for military airframe maintenance.
The addition of Molybdenum Disulfide provides an extra layer of "solid lubricant" protection. This ensures that even if the grease is squeezed out under extreme pressure, a dry lubricant film remains to prevent metal-to-metal contact, galling, and seizure of critical aircraft parts.
This grease is engineered to perform in extreme aviation environments, with a functional temperature range from -73°C to +121°C. Its exceptional low-temperature performance ensures that control surfaces and landing gear remain mobile even after long periods at high altitudes.
