LABINO MB POSEIDON
Blue light, 440 nm, is used more and more in NDT. MB Poseidon is a durable, light weight inspection lamp for general use within this application.
The lamp is designed to fulfill CEN-TR 16638 and has an ingress protection IP68. It is offered as battery and mains version, as well as with Athena spray can holder.
MB Poseidon is designed for NDT inspectors using blue light. The lamp does not have an integrated white light.

Blue light (450 nm) is used as an alternative light source for specialized inspections where UV-A might be restricted or where specific penetrants are designed to be excited by blue wavelengths. It is also excellent for detecting biological contaminants, fibers, and specialized coatings that do not fluoresce clearly under standard UV.
While Blue Light does not carry the same risk of UV exposure to the skin, it is extremely bright. Technicians must use specialized yellow contrast goggles to protect their eyes and to filter out the blue background, allowing the defect indications to "pop" with high contrast.
