Y-2 AC Electromagnetic Yoke

The Y-2 is an AC electromagnetic yoke, ergonomically designed to improve productivity and reduce operator arm and wrist fatigue. The yoke generates a strong AC magnetic field for the detection of surface indications during magnetic particle testing.

Lightweight with an ergonomic grip and trigger, the Y-2 is designed for the rugged demands of field inspection. Featuring a field swappable cord and isolated trigger switch; the Y-2 is easily serviceable because a severed cord should not stop a job from getting done.

UV Lamps

EV6000 Hand-Held LED UV Lamp

The EV6000 LED UV lamp is a portable, hand-held UV lamp for fluorescent non-destructive testing applications like fluorescent penetrant testing and fluorescent magnetic particle inspections.

The EV6000 features a uniform beam with no hot-spots and a 9 in / 23 cm wide beam, 33% wider than the next widest hand-held UV lamp in the industry.

Custom-designed optics provide intense and even UV-A coverage of UV-A to easily identify indications, and an integrated filter ensures minimal visible light emission to improve inspection reliability. 

The EV6000 is certified to NDT standards for LED UV lamps and certified for Aerospace Prime and OEM specifications for emission spectrum and beam profile. Each unit is shipped with a manufacturer’s certificate of conformance which meets or exceeds all current specifications for use with fluorescent liquid penetrant and magnetic particle testing.

UAV Meter 3059 NDT Light Meters

Digital UV light meter

The UVM3059 is designed for measuring ultraviolet radiation, primarily for use in non-destructive material testing. It was developed according to the specifications of ISO 3059.

The housing is dust and splash-proof according to protection class IP54. The optical sensor is integrated into the surface of the meter.

Liquid Penetrant Testing Products

Zl 60 D Level 2 Water Washable Fluorescent Penetrant

ZL-60D is one of the most versatile “work-horse” penetrants, customers can use this one penetrant for a wide range of applications on a range of parts to find many different types of defects, including cracks, seams, laps, cold shuts, laminations and porosity.

Broad specification compliance further increase this penetrants flexibility. ZL-60D has excellent alloy compatibility and is safe to use on most engineering and aerospace materials, including aluminum, steel, nickel and titanium.

Ardrox 970P25E (AMS 2644 Type 1)

Ardrox 970P25E and 970P26E are biodegradable water washable fluorescent penetrants with respective sensitivity levels 3 and 4. They consist of a mixture of biodegradable nonionic surfactants and fluorescent dyes without any mineral oil or hydrocarbon. These products give crisp indications with exceptionally low levels of background and have excellent heat and UV fade characteristics.

Ardrox 9813 (AMS 2644 Type 1)

Ardrox 9813 (AMS 2644 Type 1) is a fluorescent penetrant of different sensitivities, to be used with a separate emulsifier. These products give crisp indications with exceptionally low levels of background fluorescence have excellent heat and UV fade characteristics.

Ardrox 9881 Penetrant Remover

Ardrox 9881 is a Penetrant Remover/Hydrophillic Emulsifier supplied in a 25Lt Pail.

Ardrox 9881 is a hydrophilic type emulsifier used for the removal of the Ardrox 981x series of post-emulsifiable fluorescent penetrants (Method D). It is to be diluted in water then applied by immersion or foam-on method.

The use of Ardrox 9881 minimizes background fluorescence on part surfaces, as well as bleed out of excess penetrant from hollow parts. It is economical to use since it can be applied at 10% by volume for immersion and less than 5% for foam-on applications. Ardrox 9881 is a blend of biodegradable surface-active agents, coupling solvent and corrosion inhibitors. It is low in sulphur, halogen and alkali metal content. In addition to that, Ardrox 9881 shows an improved odor and bath stability and it is designed to meet the harshest surfactant regulations.

Ardrox 996PB (AMS 2644 Type 2)

Ardrox 996PB (AMS 2644 Type 2) is a visible light inspection penetrant as per the AMS 2644 Type 2 and EN ISO 3452 Part 2, Type II, which can be removed by solvents. It is used in non-destructive testing for the detection of defects such as cracks, laps, cold shuts, porosity, bursts, casting and welding discontinuities.

ZL-67 Level 3 Water Washable Fluorescent Penetrant

ZL-67 is specially formulated for strong capillary action which allows it to penetrate defects quickly and bleed out into developer faster and more completely than other penetrants for stronger, higher contrast indications that are easier for inspectors to identify, even when the defects are very fine.

ZL-67 is listed on the QPL SAE AMS 2644 Qualified Product List and is approved for use by Pratt & Whitney.

ZL-27A Level 3 Post Emulsifiable Fluorescent Penetrant

Post-emulsifiable ZL-27A is a Level 3, high-sensitivity Type 1 penetrant designed for inspections which require maximum process control and reliability, such as safety-critical aerospace testing.

Since ZL-27A is not water soluble, there is minimal risk of this penetrant being removed from a fine or shallow defect through over-washing to provide the highest reliability of any penetrant inspection method.

ZL-27A is listed on the QPL SAE AMS 2644 Qualified Product List and is approved for use by Pratt & Whitney.

 

Ardrox 9PR5 Solvent Remover

The solvent removers Ardrox 9PR5 (AMS 2644 Class 2), 9PR50 and 9PR88 are a series of non-chlorinated, volatile solvents which are used for the removal of surface excess penetrant in the solvent removal process or wipe-off technique. They have a low sulfur and halogen content. The Ardrox 9PR series of solvent removers are ideal for the removal of oil, grease and other organic contamination as a pre-cleaning of surfaces before the application of a penetrant or a magnetic ink.

Ardrox NQ1 Solvent Based Developer

Ardrox NQ1 is a Solvent Based Developer that is supplied in a 400ml Aerosol. ARDROX NQ1 is a suspension of an inert white powder in a quick drying solvent.

ARDROX NQ1 is used e.g. in non-destructive testing of forged parts, welds, casts and drop forged parts. ARDROX NQ1 is used with any of the ARDROX range of visible penetrants.

Ardrox P6R

Ardrox® P6R is a visible light inspection penetrant as per the AMS 2644 Type 2 and ISO 3452 Part 2, Type II, which can be removed by water or solvents. It is used in non-destructive testing for the detection of defects such as cracks, laps, cold shuts, porosity, bursts, casting and welding discontinuities.

Magnaglo® 14A

A highly sensitive magnetic particle powder, Magnaglo 14A fluorescent mag particles are engineered to locate very fine discontinuities in critical parts and applications.

Designed with strong fluorescent properties, 14A magnetic powder is made with a carefully optimized range of particle sizes & shapes to ensure particles move quickly and easily to indications, while minimizing background and particle clumping. The result is faster inspections with better reliability and greater confidence.

SKL-SP2 is a solvent removable visible red dye penetrant. SKL-SP2 locates surface-breaking discontinuities with a simple three-step process that is ideal for basic industrial nondestructive testing. SKL-SP2 features high-performance penetrating characteristics and produces clear vivid red indications.

SKL-SP2 is a reliable penetrant testing method for preventative maintenance and quality checks. SKL-SP2 is used to inspect welds, forgings, pressure vessels, castings, general metalwork and can be used in leak testing applications.

SKL-SP2 is listed on QPL-AMS-2644 as Type 2, Methods B, C, and D.

Developer

ZL-27A Level 3 Post Emulsifiable Fluorescent Penetrant

ZP-4D is a dry powder developer for form A penetrant testing that is ideal for highly sensitive fluorescent penetrant processes. ZP-4D is applied to oven dried parts following the use of penetrants and forms a thin film on parts that enhances the visibility of ultra-fine discontinuities.

ZP-4D is listed on the QPL SAE AMS 2644 Qualified Product List and is approved for use by Pratt & Whitney.

 

Emulsifier

ZR-10E Hydrophilic Emulsifier

Designed to remove excess surface penetrant, ZR-10E minimizes surface background during Method D fluorescent penetrant testing while protecting indication integrity in critical component inspections. ZR-10E provides long tank life and excellent solution consistency for dependable, long-lasting performance in a variety of applications.

ZR-10E is tested and approved to AMS 2644 to work with Magnaflux PE penetrants ZL-2C Level 2, ZL-27A Level 3 and ZL-37 Level 4 for verified penetrant system reliability.

Carrier II is a high-purity NDT-approved suspension vehicle developed specifically for wet method magnetic particle testing.

This petroleum distillate carrier oil provides excellent particle mobility, good suspension stability and enhanced corrosion protection for reliable, spec-compliant mag particle inspections.

Carrier II is made with highly refined petroleum oil with virtually no odor for improved operator comfort, while the high flash point and low toxicity reduce EHS concerns.

14AM Oil-Based Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Suspension

Soundsafe High Performance Ultrasonic Couplant

Soundsafe® is a high-performance, general-purpose ultrasonic couplant for flaw detection and sizing, thickness gauging, flow metering and acoustic emission testing.

This medium viscosity gel couplant is well known for its outstanding performance, excellent corrosion protection, thixotropic properties and comprehensive range of specifications and approvals.

Soundsafe is Pratt & Whitney approved and meets nuclear grade specifications for halogen and sulfur levels.

Sonotrace General-Purpose Ultrasonic Couplant

Sonotrace® 30 is a general-purpose ultrasonic couplant in medium-thick gel viscosity for flaw detection and thickness gauging applications. This glycerin-free couplant is a great choice for applications requiring minimum halogens, sulfur and low melting point metals, and offers good performance at a lower price point.

Cleaners

Daraclean 282 Alkaline Aqueous Cleaner

A low-foaming, all-purpose alkaline cleaning solution, Daraclean® 282 is an excellent cleaner for a broad spectrum of soils.

This multi-purpose industrial cleaner has excellent soil-rejecting properties and suspends soils until they settle and can be removed by filtering or skimming, for a cleaning bath which lasts much longer than other water-based cleaners.

Daraclean 282 can be used in concentrations up to 25 percent (20 percent for CARB compliance) in immersion, ultrasonic, spray and steam applications.

Daraclean 282GF Alkaline Aqueous Cleaner

Daraclean® 282GF is a high performance cleaner for a broad spectrum of soils. A low-foaming all-purpose glycol-free alkaline cleaning solution with a unique blend of surfactants and corrosion inhibitors, it meets or exceeds the specifications for most aerospace applications for aqueous and alkaline cleaners.

Daraclean 282GF is designed for immersion, ultrasonic and spray applications, and is safe for use on most metals. It is non-aggressive towards aluminum, magnesium and titanium alloys, and can be used in concentrations up to 25 percent. It is moderately alkaline with low foaming levels for use in spray applications, contains inhibitors to protect metal surfaces from corrosion and it is also tolerant of hard water.

Daraclean 283 Alkaline Aqueous Cleaner

Daraclean® 283 is a low-foaming, powerful alkaline cleaning solution formulated for use on a broad spectrum of soils, composed of surfactants, emulsifiers, and corrosion inhibitors. It is safe to use on most metals and is non-aggressive towards titanium alloys.

Daraclean 283 has excellent soil rejecting properties that remove soils, then allow solids to settle and lighter grease droplets to float. The solution can be filtered and skimmed to extend its life much further than emulsion-type cleaners.
