Ardrox 9813 (AMS 2644 Type 1)

Ardrox 9813 (AMS 2644 Type 1) is a fluorescent penetrant of different sensitivities, to be used with a separate emulsifier. These products give crisp indications with exceptionally low levels of background fluorescence have excellent heat and UV fade characteristics.

What is a Type 1 penetrant?

Type 1 refers to fluorescent penetrants that require a UV-A light source for inspection. Ardrox 9813 is a Level 2 (Medium Sensitivity) Type 1 penetrant.

It offers excellent heat and UV fade resistance, meaning the indications stay bright even if the inspection takes longer or if the parts were slightly warm.

It is fully qualified to AMS 2644 and is approved by major engine manufacturers like Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce.
