PR-1422 Class A – B are an aircraft integral fuel tank sealant. It has a service temperature range from -65°F (-54°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 275°F (135°C). This material is designed for brush sealing of fasteners in fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage sealing applications. The cured sealant maintains excellent elastomeric proper- ties after prolonged exposure to both jet fuel and avi- ation gas. PR-1422 Class A is a two-part, dichromate cured polysulfide compound. The uncured material is suit- able for application by brush in thickness up to 25 mils. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common air- craft substrates.

PR-1422 is a high-performance, two-part dichromate-cured polysulfide sealant designed for sealing aircraft fuel tanks and fuselages. It is primarily used for fillet sealing, faying surface sealing, and sealing fasteners. It provides an exceptional barrier against aviation gasoline and jet fuel while remaining flexible under vibration.
PR-1422 is engineered for extreme environments, offering a functional service temperature range from -54°C (-65°F) to 121°C (250°F). It is particularly valued for its ability to maintain a pressure-tight seal during high-speed flight and in high-temperature areas near engine nacelles.
PR-1422 is qualified to the AMS-S-8802 (formerly MIL-S-8802) specification. It also carries numerous OEM approvals, including Boeing (BMS 5-45) and Lockheed Martin, making it a standard choice for both military and commercial heavy maintenance (C-Checks and D-Checks).
