AeroShell Fluid 41 (MIL-PRF-5606J)

AeroShell Fluid 41 is a mineral hydraulic oil manufactured to a very high level of cleanliness, and possesses improved fluid properties. AeroShell Fluid 41 contains additives which provide good low temperature fluidity, anti-wear, oxidation-corrosion inhibition and shear stability. In addition metal de-activators and foam inhibitors are included in this high viscosity index fluid to enhance performance in hydraulic applications. AeroShell Fluid 41 is capable of wide temperature range operation.

  • Aircraft Systems: Recommended for all modern aircraft requiring a mineral hydraulic fluid – commonly in landing gear hydraulic systems. 

  • Operates in unpressurized systems (-54°C to 90°C) and pressurized systems (-54°C to 135°C).

  • Synthetic Rubber Components: Designed for use in systems with synthetic rubber but not compatible with natural rubber.

  • Industrial Use: Applicable in certain industrial hydraulic systems due to its versatile properties.

     

Caution: Avoid using chlorinated solvents for cleaning components, as residual solvents can contaminate the fluid and lead to corrosion.
